In the fall of 2014, I accepted a long term substitute teaching position as a middle school band director. I was assigned the task of cleaning out the band room storage lockers, some of which contained boxes of old tape reels marked, “THROW AWAY,” which I promptly packed into the trunk of my car. I made loops from randomly chosen sections of tape, amplified it into a room and recorded it digitally. Each cassette in this series contains an extended version of one of those loops and is a limited edition of one.
